ACCOUNTING in the GRADUATE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT
Professor / Associate Professor / Senior Lecturer / Lecturer levels

With more than 7,500 students and 5,000 executive program participants each year, the Triple Crown accredited University of Auckland Business School (http://www.business.auckland.ac.nz/en.html ) is one of the largest and most successful in the Australasian region. Ranked in the top 100 in the 2014 QS World Universities Ranking, and in the top 50 in the QS World Universities rankings by subject areas (Accounting & Finance), the University of Auckland is New Zealand's pre-eminent research-led university.

Following the success of its new suite of Business Masters programs and strong demand for its MBA and Executive Education programs, the Graduate School of Management (http://www.gsm.auckland.ac.nz/ ) at the University of Auckland Business School seeks motivated, research-active Accounting faculty to join this world-class multidisciplinary team and teach into its programs, particularly the Master of Professional Accounting.

The Graduate School of Management is committed to delivering high value, relevant and challenging learning experiences that maximise the employment outcomes for graduates. As faculty of the Graduate School of Management, you will be instrumental in developing an influential, future-focused community of executives, managers, and skilled professionals.

To deliver these results, each program shares the following characteristics:

*         research informed teaching

*         commitment to team-based learning

* focus on case-based and experiential learning, and

* integration of professional and personal skill development into the curriculum.

All faculty are expected to work collaboratively within these parameters, alongside educational development and learning technology professionals, to deliver a high quality student experience.

We are particularly keen to appoint research-active academics with interests in:

*         Accounting Information Systems;

*         Auditing;

*         Management Accounting

If you are committed to ensuring that your students have an extraordinary learning experience that is informed by relevant research and enhanced by appropriate learning technologies, these roles will appeal. You will provide leadership in curriculum development and delivery (including the assessment and evaluation of learning outcomes) and such administrative duties as are required to achieve these goals.

In addition you will have a track record of quality research outputs that will enable you to encourage, supervise, and engage in research within, and desirably across, disciplinary boundaries.

Expressions of interest should include:

* A cover letter clearly indicating rank of interest

*         Curriculum Vitae

* Statement of your teaching philosophy

* Statement of your experience, if any, in post-graduate teaching (including teaching managers and executives and teaching international students)

*         Teaching evaluations

* Statement of your research program, including full publications record
