The Information and Technology Management Department of The University of Tampa's Sykes College of Business is seeking candidates for a staff position to support a new major in Cybersecurity. The position will begin in the fall 2015 semester. An undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security or related field from an accredited institution is required. The Sykes College of Business is AACSB accredited. This is a full time, twelve-month position.

The selected candidate will teach a sequence of individual lessons involving information security, IT infrastructure, network security, ethical hacking, penetration testing and management information systems.

The position will include the following responsibilities:
1. Configure, operate, secure and maintain the Cybersecurity lab in support of the College of Business academic mission.
2. Prepare and teach ITM Cybersecurity lab-based (experiential) individual lessons in support of the Cybersecurity curriculum.
3. Support a tenured-faculty and student-based cybersecurity research program.
4. Work directly with students in mentoring and professionally developing them for the workforce. This includes being involved with student clubs.
5. Organize and manage student-driven cybersecurity competition games and activities (e.g. 'hackathons') with both academic and commercial external entities.
6. Support all program certification and accreditation goals and requirements (e.g. AACSB, NSA/DHS CAE, ABET). This can include establishing a Center for Cybersecurity Education Excellence.
7. Support cybersecurity community outreach to the Tampa Bay region.

Qualifications:   The successful candidate will have:
1. An undergraduate degree from an accredited and quality institution is required in the field of Management Information Systems, Information Security/Assurance, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or other related field. 

2. Expertise specialization desired in network security, ethical hacking, penetration testing, security architecture.
3 At least one current information security certification is required (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CISA, CHFI).
4. At least 3 to 5 years of work experience in a role such as information security consultant, CISO, penetration testing engineer, or information security analyst.
5. Two years of work experience in an instructional, educational, training and/or lab setting/environment is desired.
6. Minimum 3 to 5 years direct experience with the following workstation/server environments and information security technologies are required: Windows, Linux, Macintosh, Virtualization/VMWare, switches/routers, intrusion prevention systems, next generation firewalls, and vulnerability and penetration testing tools.
Desired:
- Experience in a higher education setting
- 3 years of experience conducting security assessments (vulnerability and/or penetration testing).
- Experience with conducting forensics investigations a plus.
