The University of Reutlingen, Department ESB Business School has
posted the following vacancy to be filled as soon as possible:

Research Assistant in the area of Information Systems/Digitization

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to
simultaneously become a PhD candidate at Rotterdam School of
Management, Erasmus University, the Netherlands, with the goal of
achieving a doctoral degree.

The successful candidate will work closely with Martin Mocker and
Daniel Simonovich from ESB Business School, and Eric van Heck from
Rotterdam School of Management on a project to study the digitization
of businesses and companies with digital products.


Duties:
---------------------
* Define, execute, and administer a rigorous research program in the
field of digitization of businesses/digital product companies over at
least three years.
* Conduct qualitative and quantitative empirical research, including
literature analysis, acquiring research sites, planning and conducting
interviews, designing and executing surveys, data cleanup, statistical
analysis, writing up research results
* Write scientific and practitioner-oriented publications
* Present work to practitioner and academic audiences and take on
related teaching tasks to (under-)graduate students


Profile:
---------------------
* MSc, MA or MPhil degree in business, information systems or a
related discipline with excellent results
* Have an explicit interest in and motivation for scientific research
in the areas of digitization of companies, information systems, or
business strategies of software companies
* Be proficient in the English language
* In order to be accepted into the PhD program of Erasmus University
(ERIM), the candidate will need to pass a GMAT-test (Graduate
Management Admission Test) or a GRE-test (Graduate Record
Examinations) with a score of min. 85% of the maximum points (can be
obtained after taking on the position at ESB Business School)
* Be willing to travel, also internationally
* Relevant work experience is a plus
