The Department of Marketing and Business Information Systems in the Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant or Associate Management Information Systems (MIS) position beginning September 2016.

Department Information:

The department offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Management Information Systems as well as the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in Supply Chain and Logistical Systems. In addition, the department offers undergraduate minors in Marketing and Management Information Systems and concentrations in the MBA program in Marketing and Management Information Systems.



University Information:


Rowan University is a comprehensive state-designated research institution with approximately 15,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, and it has a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. Rowan is the second university in the country to offer M.D. and D.O. medical-degree granting programs. The institution is also home to the South Jersey Technology Park, which fosters the translation of applied research into commercial products and processes. Description:


Responsibilities include teaching courses in management information systems, maintaining an active research agenda in a related area and in support of quality teaching, participating in assurance of learning activities, engaging actively in department, college, university, professional, and outreach activities as well as advising students. The college is particularly interested in applicants with a background in data analytics, enterprise systems, information security, systems analysis and design, or e-business; however, candidates in all areas of specialization are encouraged to apply.
Teaching assignments will include undergraduate and graduate courses in a traditional classroom format as well as online delivery.


Qualifications:

Ph.D. in MIS from an AACSB accredited institution by August 31, 2016 is required.
Proven excellence as a teacher and demonstrated potential as a researcher are preferred.
Prior experience in graduate and online teaching is desirable as is relevant experience in a business setting.
