Job Description for Tenure-Track MIS Position 


Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems 

Information Systems & Analysis Department; full-time, salary negotiable on qualifications and experience. Open until filled. Approval subject to availability of funding. 

Duties : Teach students (both graduate and undergraduate) face-to-face in classroom and laboratory setting and online. Stay current of new developments in the field of Management Information Systems. Provide academic advising/counseling to assigned students. Display leadership and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of college and departmental programs. Participate in department, college and university committees and in other activities associated with professional status. Perform related duties essential to the university teaching profession. Publish in academic journals and attend conferences. 

Qualifications: Doctorate in Management Information Systems. Prior teaching experience is desirable. Professional, instructional and/or leadership competencies in the area of SAP Supply Chain Management are required. Working knowledge of SAP or willingness to learn and teach SAP is a must. The ability to teach the basic MIS courses such as IT Project Management, Principles of MIS, Visual Basic, etc. is valued.
