The Department of Computer Information Systems (CIS) at Bentley University invites applications for a tenure track position at the assistant or associate professor level starting in the fall of 2016. The department is seeking an individual with a PhD in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. A qualified candidate should have an excellent record of accomplishments in both research and teaching and will be expected to contribute to the CIS department's mission of educating technically adept information systems professionals and advancing the state of research at the intersection of business and information and communication technologies.

The CIS department offers programs at the undergraduate and master's levels and contributes courses to several other programs at Bentley including the undergraduate general education core and the MBA core. The main areas of teaching include web & mobile technologies, object-oriented application development, database management, systems analysis and design, computing and communication infrastructure, data mining, enterprise architecture, IT project management, and IT management & policy. CIS faculty's scholarship encompasses the areas of Management Information Systems and Computer Science. CIS faculty research receives external funding and appears in leading publication outlets.
