*IEEE TCSC Award for Excellence (Mid-Career Researcher)*

*About the Award: *
The IEEE TCSC Award for Excellence in Scalable Computing (Mid-Career
Researcher) recognizes up to 3 individuals who have made outstanding,
influential, and long-lasting contributions in the field of scalable
computing and who will be within 5 to 10 years of having received their PhD
degree as of September 1, 2015.

*Nominations:* A candidate may be nominated by any member of the community.
An individual may nominate at most one candidate for this award.
Nominations must be submitted to the Award Selection Committee Chair by
email. A nomination application (as a single PDF file) should contain the
following:

   1. Name/email of nominator (self-nominations are not permitted).
   2. Name/email of candidate being nominated.
   3. A statement by the nominator (maximum of 500 words) as to why the nominee
   is highly deserving of the award. Note that since the award is for
   outstanding contributions, the statement and supporting letters should
   address what the contributions are and why they are both outstanding and
   significant. The nomination should also list the names and email addresses
   of up to 3 persons who will provide letters supporting the nomination.
   4. CV of the nominee.
   5. Up to three support letters from persons other than the nominator –
   these should be collected by the nominator and included in the nomination.

   - Nomination Deadline:      August 15, 2015
   - Results Notification:         September 30, 2015

*Award Selection Committee:* The award selection committee will consist of:

   - Sartaj Sahni, University of Florida, USA (Chair) - sahni at cise.ufl.edu
   - Viktor Prasanna, University of Southern California
   - Yves Robert, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon
   - Xian-He Sun, Illinois Institute of Technology
   - Albert Zomaya, University of Sydney


Note that members of the selection committee cannot be nominators or
provide support letters.


*Award & Presentation Note:*  Awardees will be presented a plaque and will
be recognized by IEEE TCSC in its website, newsletter and archives. The up
to three awardees will also receive $700, $500, and $300, respectively. The
awards will be presented at a major conference of IEEE TCSC.
