AMCIS 2020 will be held in Salt Lake City. The Site Advisory Committee (SAC) is soliciting preliminary bids from teams interested in chairing the conference. Because most of the conference arrangements are now handled by the AIS Office, it is no longer necessary for conference chairs to reside in the proposed conference location. It is more important that conference chairs be interested in organizing and leading a team of creative individuals dedicated to designing and delivering a great conference experience.
We invite you to submit an expression of interest in chairing AMCIS 2020 by November 1 by completing the form at: http://aisnet.org/?AMCISIntenttoBid.
This form collects some initial information about the leaders of your team. Once the form is received, you will be contacted by Lise Fitzpatrick, the AIS Conference Director, who will provide you with more information about the process. PLEASE NOTE: You DO NOT NEED to contact any hotel/venue or convention/visitors bureau. Lise Fitzpatrick will handle all communication with these contacts.
The site selection process is described on the Web, but we are making changes to the process, so the current information on the Web is not up to date. The next step in the process after the Intent to Bid form is the Preliminary Bid, which will be due February 1.
If you have any questions about chairing an AMCIS conference, please do not hesitate to contact me at ardennis at indiana.edu<mailto:ardennis at indiana.edu>.
Thanks
Alan
