The objective of this panel is to provide faculty participants with a forum to learn about, discuss, and identify resources for incorporating/improving the coverage of Business Analytics and Big Data in their coursework.  Perspectives from academics as well as an industry perspective will prove to be very valuable for faculty as they develop/refine the incorporation of Big Data and Analytics into their curriculum.  The discussion and exchange will focus on finding and sharing available resources for faculty and student use - to include systems from such top companies as IBM, SAP, SAS and Teradata.  Specific topics include IBM's SPSS Modeler, Big Insights (Hadoop/Map Reduce), Cognos Insights, and Watson's Analytics; SAP HANA and Predictive Analytics; SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner & SAS Visual Analytics via Teradata University Network; as well as data sources available for classroom use.  This panel/workshop is intended for faculty teaching in the areas of Business Intelligence, Big Data, Statistics, and Business Analytics (or who plan to teach in these areas) who want to develop new skills and have access to real-world systems/data.  The panel/workshops should help faculty interested in enhancing their courses and curricula by identifying the availability of these resources.
