*SUMMARY:*  The ABET-accredited Computer Information Systems (CIS)
Department is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position in the College
of Business at Metropolitan State University of Denver beginning August
2016. The College of Business has an AACSB accreditation visit scheduled
for November 2015. This is not a Computer Science or Library Science
position.



*RESPONSIBILITIES *: The position requires a commitment to excellence in
teaching; student advising activities; professional development/scholarship
consistent with AACSB and ABET accreditations; and service to the
department, college, university and community. The candidate is expected to
teach 12 credit hours each semester in one or more of the following areas:
Computer security, business analytics/data science, foundations of
information systems, systems analysis and design, telecommunications and
networking, database applications, systems programming, web development and
administration, and enterprise resource planning systems. The University is
particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with
students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to
improving access to higher education for under-represented groups.

all-but-dissertation (ABD) status with an August 2016 completion date, in
Computer Information Systems or a closely related field.



*Preferred Qualifications:* Doctorate degree or all-but-dissertation (ABD)
status with an August 2016 completion date, in Computer Information Systems
or a closely related field, from an AACSB-accredited institution;
transcript evidence or graduate courses in the CIS topics listed above;
teaching experience in the CIS topics listed above; recent journal
publications/academic intellectual contributions in CIS topics; information
systems industry experience.



*RANK & SALARY:** The salary will be commensurate with education and
