[AISWorld] Pre-ICIS Workshop - CFP (10/16/2015 - EXTENDED Deadline) - Locational Analytics and Big Data

Dear AIS members:

Attend the Special Interest Group for Geographic Information Systems
(SIGGIS) pre-ICIS Workshop to focus on Locational Analytics and Big Data,
and then continue on for ICIS Conference, Dec. 14-16 in Fort Worth, Texas!

The Workshop on Locational Analytics and Big Data: Foundations, Emerging
Applications, and Research will be held in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, on
Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 9am – 2:30pm. The conference webpage is
located at http://siggis.wikispaces.com/ICIS+2015+Pre-Conference+Workshop.

The workshop includes morning session on spatial big data and analytics,
and their applications, and research discussion segment, followed by a
Keynote Talk by Dr. Wayne Gearey, Global Location Intelligence Officer of
Jones, Lang LaSalle.  The afternoon session has contributed papers and a
demo of spatial analytics. The draft agenda can be viewed at

The AIS’s SIGGIS has the goal to expand research, teaching, and curriculum
in spatial analytics, systems, and technologies. SIGGIS has offered
workshops for the past two years at the AMCIS and ICISconferences, and
minitracks at AMCIS for four years.

All papers accepted after a blinded peer review process will be published
in the conference proceedings online. Authors of accepted papers will have
the opportunity to make revisions prior to submitting a final
version.  Selected papers that are related to national development will be
fast-tracked for possible publication in the journal, *Information
Technology for Development*.

You are invited to submit empirical, conceptual, or case study papers (case
studies) in any of the broad areas of geographic information systems,
locational analytics and big data, and spatial applications.

Extended Deadline for submissions: October 16, 2015.  Author notification
date: October 31, 2015. Author revisions due date: November 15, 2015.
Author registration due date: November 21 2015, which is done through the
ICIS conference registration system.

Research papers must be original, unpublished elsewhere, in the style of
ICIS, and must be at least 3500 words in length, but should be no longer
than 6000 words and the full paper must include an abstract (150 word max).

All papers are to be submitted by e-mailing the manuscript in .doc format,
or .pdf format (for papers over 10 MB) to james_pick at redlands.edu. For more
