Dear Colleagues:

The *submission website* for the Information Systems Frontiers (ISF) Special
Issue on Big Data and Analytics
<http://www.som.buffalo.edu/isinterface/ISFrontiers/forthcoming1/BDA_IS_CFP.pdf>
is active - https://www.editorialmanager.com/isfi
Please select the "SI on Big Data and Analytics" during the submission
process.
We look forward to receiving your submission for consideration in this ISF
special issue.

Submission Deadline: October 15th, 2015

In regards to the length of the manuscript, ISF does not provide guidelines
about the length. Based on what has been published so far and
our experience, we suggest 8000 to 10,000 words including
references, tables, and figures.
If your work was published in any conference proceedings, the title of the
manuscript for ISF must be different from that or any previous conference
paper and the body of the manuscript must contain at least 40% to 50% new
material. You could, for example, update your manuscript with stronger
theoretical arguments, new data, new analysis, new tables and figures and
new insights. Be sure to position your research with respect to work
already published in ISF. Also, it is very important that your work is
position to the current call of the Special Issue.

*The journal editorial policy about submissions should be followed* -

http://www.som.buffalo.edu/isinterface/ISFrontiers/ISF_EdPolicies.html

Some general guidelines include:

• Articles should be printed on 8 1/2" x 11" paper

• Typed in 12-point font, double spaced, with 1 inch margin on all four
sides

• Contain a cover page describing the title of the article, names,
addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of all authors with one of
them designated as the Corresponding Author

• Contain an abstract of not more than 200 words and up to 6 keywords that
encapsulate the principal subjects covered by the article

• Figures, charts, diagrams, tables and photo illustrations should be black
and white with minimum shading and numbered consecutively using
arabic numerals. These could be either embedded in the text or their
positions clearly shown in the text using "Insert figure" instructions.

• The referencing style of the American Psychological Association should be
used. Examples are available at several websites. One of these sites
is (opens in a new page):
http://www.vanguard.edu/faculty/ddegelman/index.aspx?doc_id=796

• A list of five potential referees on a separate sheet of paper, with a
brief description of:

• Mailing addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers and email addresses

• Why they would be good reviewers - based on their areas of expertise

• The suggested referees should not have a conflict of interest with the
author(s). A person has a conflict of interest with (a) his/her major
professor or a student for whom the person served as a major professor, (b)
people working in the same institution, (c) co-authors on work completed or
in progress during the last four years."

*Manuscript Submission*
Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been
published before; that it is not under consideration for publication
anywhere else; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if
any, as well as by the responsible authorities – tacitly or explicitly – at
the institute where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not
be held legally responsible should there be any claims for compensation.

Permissions
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have
already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the
copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include
evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their

originate from the authors.”
