Position for Assistant or Associate or Full Professor in MIS at the Manning School of Business, University of Massachusetts Lowell
The Operations & Information Systems (OIS) Department at the Robert J. Manning School of Business<http://www.uml.edu/msb> (MSB), University of Massachusetts Lowell is recruiting one faculty at Assistant or Associate or Full professor in Information Systems (IS) areas to engage in teaching, research and service. In addition to a record of research and publication in the applicant's field of specialization, teaching responsibilities should include some combination big data analytics, data management and other areas in IS. Also of interest is quantitative & qualitative research methods in any emerging area in IS (Mobile, Health-IT, Cloud Computing, etc.).

Located 30 miles northwest of Boston, UMass Lowell has over 17,000 students and is one of the largest public universities in Massachusetts. The MSB has approximately 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students and is accredited by the AACSB-International. The School is building program offerings at all degree levels and seeks to further enhance the faculty's high level of research productivity. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in (1) the growth and delivery of all academic programs including our Ph.D. with a specialization in MIS, (2) the growth of our Master of Business Administration with IT concentration, and a new Master of Science in Business Analytics, in addition to the undergraduate BA program with MIS major, and (3) ongoing initiatives undertaken in research, instruction and outreach.

-          Doctorate in MIS from an AACSB-International accredited business school (must be completed by the September 2016 date of appointment)
-          Evidence of ongoing research and publication in the applicant's area of scholarly interest
-          The ability to work effectively with diverse groups
-          Commitment to develop and sustain an externally funded research program
-          A record of teaching effectiveness at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels
-          May require teaching evening courses
-          Industrial, corporate or new venture experience
-          Experience supervising and advising doctoral students
-          Experience in teaching online or web-enhanced courses preferably using the Blackboard Learn course platform
-          Departmental Chair experience for senior position (i.e. Full Professor) applicants
-          Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to speak and write English clearly
