The Department of Business Information Systems (BIS) was established in 2009 and comprises a small but dynamic group of scholars. The department was the top performing academic unit at AUT in the last national research assessment round in 2012; achieving the highest average quality score across the University.

The AUT Business School invites applications for the position of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Supply Chain Management. Candidates MUST have an earned doctorate in supply chain management (SCM) or related areas and be able to begin by June 2016.

 Evidence of teaching excellence at all levels - i.e. undergraduate and postgraduate (including Master, MBA and PhD supervision) and the aptitude to work with students of all levels of ability and from different backgrounds are also sought. Experience in innovative teaching practices is an advantage. We are also seeking candidates who are able to teach across our classes in the following areas: supply chain management, quality management, purchasing/procurement management, and business analytics.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates for senior positions must have a proven research record which includes publication in high quality refereed journals.

Evidence of a collegial approach to teaching/research/teamwork is a requirement. As such, we are looking for excellent communication skills and well developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with both, interdisciplinary and disciplinary teams.
