The 19th International Conference on Business Information Systems 2016 (BIS
2016) will be held at Leipzig University, Germany. BIS is one of the
well-ranked European conferences (ranked "B" in CORE 2014) in the areas of
theory and practice of development and implementation of contemporary
business information systems (see http://bis.kie.ue.poznan.pl).
In parallel to research papers, BIS 2016 invites proposals for workshops and
ancillary events to be held around as well as during the conference. BIS
2016 workshops and events may address all aspects of business information
systems. These include in particular the conference theme 'Smart Business
Ecosystems' and the topics mentioned in the eight categories of the Call for
Papers:
* Applications,
* Big/Smart Data,
* Business and Enterprise Modeling,
* Ecosystems,
* Process Management,
* Service Science
* Smart Infrastructures and
* Social Media.
The organization of the workshops and events (including participant's
registration, website creation and partial advertising of call for papers)
will be supported by the BIS team, allowing workshop organizers to focus on
scientific aspects of the event (review and selection of papers, division of
presentations into sessions).
The post-proceedings of BIS 2016 workshops is planned to be published as a
book by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Business Information
Processing (LNBIP) series.
