[AISWorld] Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Information Systems at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte

The Department of Business Information Systems and Operations Management
(BISOM), one of six departments in the Belk College of Business at the
University of North Carolina at Charlotte, invites applications for a
full-time position as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems
beginning in the Fall 2016 semester.



UNC Charlotte is North Carolina’s urban research university and is the
fastest growing campus in the UNC system. The Belk College’s part-time MBA
program is ranked #20 in the country. Data Science and Business Analytics
is a major programmatic priority for the university. The BISOM department
is an active participant in the university’s Data Science Initiative and
offers several courses in the Professional Science Masters in Data Science
and Business Analytics (DSBA). The faculty in the department have a track
record of publishing in leading academic journals and excellence in
teaching.



The position requires a research doctorate in data science and business
analytics, information systems, or closely related field. All degree
requirements are expected to be completed by the time of
appointment. Applicants should have research and teaching interests in
business analytics. Candidates should have begun to establish a record of
excellence in both research and teaching, or show evidence of this
potential. Candidates will be expected to develop a research record of
publication in top tier journals and a track record of teaching excellence.



The teaching load is highly competitive and will include courses in the
interdisciplinary program in Data Science and Business Analytics as well as
traditional undergraduate and graduate courses within the Business College.
Prior teaching experience in business analytics is preferred.



This is a tenure track position with a competitive salary. The University
