Scope

-------------------------------------------------------

Wireless communication along with
mobile computing are becoming a necessity rather than a luxury, and with a wide
range of application domains which include wireless network-on-chip,
smart environments, wireless sensor networks, health care, industry, multimedia
applications and intelligent transport systems just to name few. This
advancement in wireless and mobile technologies introduces new challenging
requirements and issues for researchers.

The Performance Analysis and
Enhancement of Wireless Networks (PAEWN 2016) will represent an international
forum for researchers from both academia and industry to expose the latest
trends, research findings, and emerging issues in wireless and mobile
computing. This workshop will focus on the development and application of
analytical modeling, simulation, prototype testbed, and measurement-based
performance evaluation techniques to the area of wireless and mobile
communication networks.

The topics of interest include,
but are not limited to:

·
Stochastic modelling and performance evaluation of wireless, sensor and mobile
networks and devices

·
Design and analysis of wireless networks and protocols

·
Quality of Service provisioning in wireless/mobile systems

·
Wireless/Mobile network architectures

. Wireless network-on-chip

·
Resource and data management in mobile, wireless and ad hoc networks

·
Security issues in mobile /wireless/ad-hoc networks

·
Energy saving protocols for wireless/mobile/sensor networks

·
Algorithms and modelling for tracking and locating mobile users

·
Admission control and congestion control protocols

·
Evaluation of scalability and reliability in wireless/mobile networks

·
Cross-layer design and optimization

·
Traffic modelling in wireless/mobile systems

·
Mobility management and handover issues

· Evaluation of
medium access control and routing algorithms in wireless/mobile/ad-hoc networks

·
Simulation models for optimization of scarce resources

·
Integration of ad hoc and sensor networks with broadband wireless network
infrastructures

·
Performance case studies and industrial reports

·
Evaluation of existing tools and techniques

·
Improvement in system performance through optimization and tuning

·
Case studies showing the role of evaluation in the design of systems

Paper Preparation, Submission and Publication

--------------------------------------------------------

Authors are invited to submit
manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments in
the topics related to the workshop. The length of the papers should not
exceed 6 pages (Conference Publishing Services (CPS) Proceedings
Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced), including figures and
references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. Please visit the CPS
Proceedings Author Guidelines at the following URL for detailed paper
formatting instructions.

http://www.computer.org/portal/web/cscps/submission/

Papers should be submitted
electronically in PDF format using EDAS online submission system and selecting PAEWN
track at this URL

 http://edas.info/N19859

All papers will be peer reviewed and the comments will be
provided to the authors.

Accepted papers will be given guidelines in preparing and
submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of
acceptance. Authors of accepted papers, or at least one of them, are requested
to register and present their work at the conference.
