The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position in Information Systems at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with an expected start date of August 2016. Of particular interest are applicants with backgrounds in Web Analytics, Business Intelligence, Decision Sciences, and/or Data Visualization. Domain expertise in financial services is preferred. This position is part of the School of Business' strategic plan of hiring two to four faculty members annually over the next few years. The position is available immediately and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Qualifications: Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Science, or other related discipline. Degree must be completed before August 2016. Candidates should have potential for excellence in research and teaching. Industry and/or government experience within these fields is a plus.

Job Responsibility: Stevens Institute of Technology emphasizes a balance between research and teaching. Current research clusters at the School of Business focus on three areas:

Decision Analytics and Big Data: Building collective intelligence.
Collaboration and Networks: Understanding the changing nature of teams, organizations, crowds, and markets.
Creativity and Innovation: Generating products and processes.

Information Systems faculty at the school are active in research involving design science, social network analysis, data analytics, collective intelligence, and process innovation. Candidates are expected to complement and enhance the research activities of the school with their own scholarly activities, advise Ph.D. students, and are expected to publish in top journals of their field. Successful candidates are expected to teach in our graduate and undergraduate programs in Information Systems and Business Intelligence & Analytics.
