Dear Colleagues:

Some of you may be aware that the Association of Information Systems (AIS,
www.aisnet.org) has become a member of the Academic Alliance of NCWIT, the
National Center for Women and Information Technology (www.ncwit.org). An
AIS InSider article was published on this collaboration and NCWIT resources
that will be useful to the IS Community - <goog_665072959>

The overarching intention of AIS membership is to increase representation
of the Information Systems discipline in NCWIT and to share best practices
at the CS/IT/IS interface that will be beneficial to all groups.

Sweta and I are representing the discipline of Information Systems in the
Academic Alliance (AA) Executive Committee of NCWIT. We are soliciting
members for the newly formed AA project team on CS/IT/IS collaboration from
Academic Alliance member institutions. The broad goal of the new AA team is
to increase collaboration across IS and other computing disciplines under
the NCWIT umbrella.

The objectives include:

1. Retaining, documenting, and understanding facets of existing
cross-disciplinary collaborations.

2. Promoting new ties and collaborations that either replicate existing
ties or use novel paths across disciplines.

3. Inspiring engagement within and across universities and between academia
and industry.

If you are interested in serving on the team or have any questions or
clarifications please reach out to either one of us (Lakshmi or Sweta).

Warm regards,

Lakshmi Iyer, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro

Sweta Sneha, Kennesaw State University
