Call for Proposals
This call is to invite both scholars and practitioners to submit proposals
for workshops and tutorials for AMCIS 2016 in San Diego (August 11-13).
Proposals can be any topic that may be of interest. Workshops will be
welcomed by that facilitate discussion and exploration of ideas,
techniques, and methodologies that advance research, teaching knowledge of
IS-related concepts, or products from industry and their application to
academia, educational curricula, or industry practice.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of examples:
* Grant Writing in Information Systems Research
* Analysis of environmental or sustainability data for Information Systems
* Cyber-Human systems
* Smart energy, smart grid, and smart consumer solutions
* Tools for Big Data Research and Analysis
* The Future Ubiquitous Computing
* IS Research, Practice, and The Internet of Things
* Reviewing for IS-related journals
* Theory Building in IS Research
* Developing IS Research for Practitioner Audiences
* Active Learning in the Classroom
* Blended and Online Learning
* Mobile Devices in the Classroom
* Bringing Real-World Issues into IS Classrooms
* Designing and Teaching Information Security
* The Gamification of Work, Commerce, and Education
* Enterprise Architecture in Research and Practice
* Use of Open Source Technologies

Format:
The workshops and tutorials typically are offered as half-day or full-day
sessions. If you are interested in offering a workshop on more than one day
