Middle Georgia State University invite applications for one (1) tenure
track assistant/associate professor position in Information Technology.

The primary teaching responsibilities will be in the areas of
Cybersecurity/Information Security/Digital Forensics. Applicants should be
able to teach a variety of undergraduate IT courses in the core, in program
electives, and graduate courses within the IT program (
http://www.mga.edu/information-technology/). Online teaching experience is
desired.

Candidates must have a doctorate in IT or a closely related discipline.
Ideally, they should have teaching experience. Candidates should have a
record of scholarship, or evidence of scholarly potential, appropriate for
a state university which contributes to the instructional, research, and
service mission of the School of Information Technology and which warrants
appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor. Such scholarly
activity may include peer-reviewed publications; regional, national, or
international conference presentations; and/or documentation of project
development and administration appropriate for either of the two areas of
specialty listed above. Job requirements additionally include service to
the institution and professional service to the community.

In compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, proof of
authorization to work in the United States will be required at the time of
hire. The anticipated employment date is Fall 2016.
