The Rowe School of Business invites applications for a three-year limited-term appointment in Management Information Systems at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2016. Applicants must have a PhD or be ABD (preferably in Management Information Systems or a related field), and will ideally have teaching experience using ERPSim and Microsoft Office applications. Experience teaching in a computer lab environment is strongly desired. Candidates must also be able to meet the School's accrediting body's (AACSB) Academic Qualification requirements.

The successful applicant will be expected to be able to engage in research with faculty and students in Management Information Systems, to teach at the undergraduate level, and to contribute to the academic life of the School through committee service and other activities. The applicant will be expected to teach Core Business Applications and Management Information Systems to undergraduate students. While recent experience teaching with SAP ERPSim will be considered an asset, we will provide training as needed.

The Rowe School of Business is part of the Faculty of Management, which has a unique commitment to values-based management and interdisciplinary research and learning. Thus, the successful candidate will have opportunities to work with like-minded colleagues in the sister Schools of Public Administration, Information Management, and Resource and Environmental Studies within the Faculty.

Information about the Rowe School of Business and its programs may be found at http://www.dal.ca/faculty/management/rsb.html.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority. Dalhousie University is committed to fostering a collegial culture grounded in diversity and inclusiveness. The university encourages applications from qualified Aboriginal people, persons with a disability, racially visible persons, women, persons of minority sexual orientations and gender identities, and all qualified candidates who would contribute to the diversity of our community.

Applicants should send a c.v., copies of their previous teaching evaluations (if any) and a statement of teaching philosophy to Ms. Miriam Breslow (mbreslow at dal.ca), Room 3060, Kenneth C. Rowe Management Building, Dalhousie University, 6100 University Avenue, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, B3H 4R2. Review of applications will begin on April 11th, 2016.
