9th InternationalSymposium on Multimedia Applications and Processing (MMAP'16)

Gdansk, Poland, 11 - 14 September, 2016

MMAP 2016 is a major forum forresearchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government topresent, discuss, and exchange ideas that address real-world problems withreal-world solutions.

The MMAP 2016 Symposium welcomessubmissions of original papers concerning all aspects of multimedia domainranging from concepts and theoretical developments to advanced technologies andinnovative applications. MMAP 2016 invites original previously unpublishedcontributions that are not submitted concurrently to a journal or anotherconference.
Papers acceptance and publication will be judged based on their relevance tothe symposium theme, clarity of presentation, originality and accuracy ofresults and proposed solutions.

BestPaper Award

A best paper award will be made forwork of high quality presented at the MMAP Symposium. The technical committeein conjunction with the organizing/steering committee will decide on thequalifying papers. Award comprises a certificate for the authors and will beannounced on time of conference.

Papersubmission

·        Authors should submit draft papers(as Postscript, PDF or MSWord file).

·        The total length of a paper shouldnot exceed 10 pages IEEE style (including tables, figures and references). IEEEstyle templates are available here.

·        Papers will be refereed and acceptedon the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the workshop.

·        Preprints containing accepted paperswill be published on a USB memory stick provided to the FedCSIS participants.

·        Only papers presented at the conference will be publishedin Conference Proceedings and submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore®database.

·        Conference proceedings will bepublished in a volume with ISBN, ISSN and DOI numbers and posted at theconference WWW site.

·        Conference proceedings will beindexed in BazEkon and submitted for indexationin: Thomson Reuters - Conference Proceedings Citation Index, SciVerse Scopus, Inspec, Index Copernicus, DBLP ComputerScience Bibliographyand Google Scholar

·        Extended versions of selectedpapers presented during the conference will be published as Special Issue(s).

o    currently, a special issue of the ComputerScience and Information Systems journal (ISI Indexed) is beingprepared on the basis of selected papers from the MMAP 2015; it will bepublished in 2016

o    special issue, based on the selected MMAP 2016 submissionsis also planned for the Journal of Computer Science & Applications

o    similarly, in 2016, special issues of these two journals aregoing to be considered

o    furthermore, we are in active negotiations for additionalSpecial Issue(s) based on the papers accepted for the MMAP 2016 -- specialissues proposals should be submitted to MMAP'16 organizers

·        Organizers reserve right to moveaccepted papers between FedCSIS events.
