The University of Cologne, Germany, invites applications for a tenured
faculty position as a Full Professor (W3) for Information Systems (W3)
The University of Cologne is among the leading German research universities
and its Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences is consistently
ranked among the top schools in research and teaching.
Candidates should have a strong focus on application-oriented Information
Systems Engineering. They should have already published their outstanding
research in distinguished international journals. Candidates should have an
international background, e.g. a Ph.D. from abroad, international teaching
or research experience, or a strong international research network. Their
research approach should cover both behavioral as well as design-oriented
methods. The applicants' ability to acquire research funds will be subject
to consideration as well.
The commitment to connect to and leverage existing interdisciplinary
research groups at the University of Cologne is expected. The successful
applicant must teach technical-oriented courses, in particular system
engineering methods for the design and development of information systems,
data bases, socio-technical system design, software development, or project
management in the B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D. and/or EMBA programs in English and
German.
The position is available as of October 2016 or based on mutual agreement.
