If you were not sure about a trip to San Diego in early August, there is still time to be on the program. And if you were planning to attend the Academy of Management meeting in Anaheim, get even more value out of your trip to Southern California by extending your trip to attend AMCIS 2016 in San Diego.

AMCIS 2016 will be held in San Diego Aug 11-14. This gives you time to take a day from Anaheim and join us in San Diego. AMCIS 2016 will feature many exciting panel sessions, keynotes, workshops, etc., in addition to the conventional full papers as well as research-in-progress/emergent research forum papers. Although the deadline for submission of regular papers has passed, you can still be on the program by submitting a TREO abstract or a proposal for a Professional Development Symposium. Both of these are due April 26, so there is still time to submit and join the program.

The TREO Talk sessions will provide the opportunity to submit a 1-page abstract of a research paper or research idea, an education paper, an idea related to IS education, or an opinion paper on any area of information technology. TREO Talks submissions will be editorially reviewed to ensure that they are IS related and appropriate in nature. Accepted TREO Talks abstracts will be presented at a TREO Talk session. Each TREO Talk author will present their topic, followed by a question and answer and discussion session with the audience.

Professional Development Symposia (PDS) are somewhat like the PDWs at the Academy meeting. These sessions will allow for a wide variety of formats or forums, including:
• Debate, where a number of people would attend and put forward remarks from different points of view
• Roundtable discussion, where several participants would prepare and present abstracts around a particular issue
• Interactive panels, where a group of panelists engage with topics of general interest
• Presentations, where track chairs have identified a group of papers that may not fit the track theme but that go well together and would contribute to the professional development of participants
• Cross-SIG dialog or collaboration, where speakers from different SIGs utilize debate, roundtable discussion, interactive panels, or presentations, to address a common theme or topic from different SIG perspectives.

You can contact any Track Chair (listed on our website...) to volunteer to join the PDS of interest to you.

Details of AMCIS 2016 are on the website http://amcis2016.aisnet.org/

We hope that you will consider participating in AMCIS 2016. Let us know if you have any questions.
  Sincerely,
Rob Nickerson, Ramesh Sharda, and Bongsik Shin (AMCIS 2016 Conference Co-chairs)
Merrill Warkentin, Andrew Burton-Jones, and Alanah Mitchell (AMCIS 2016 Program Co-chairs)
