Dear colleague,



The Organizing Committee would like to draw your attention to CAPSI’2016
and invite the submission of research papers and proposals of thematic
sessions to the conference.



CAPSI'2016 is the 16th Conference of the Portuguese Chapter of the
Association of Information Systems (APSI/PTAIS) and will be held in the
School of Accounting and Administration of the Polytechnic Institute of
Porto, from 22nd to 24th September 2016.



Porto is the second biggest city in Portugal, benefits from a privileged
geographic location, and the inhabitants are known by its hospitality. It
is one of Europe's oldest tourist destinations. Porto was classified as a
World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. Also, it was considered as European
Best Destination (
http://www.europeanbestdestinations.com/destinations/porto/). It is served
by a modern system of public transportation and services. You should not
miss this opportunity to visit such a beautiful city!



The main theme of the conference is “Information Systems Innovation and
Competitiveness”.



*Deadline for papers submission: May 16st, 2016.  --- EXTENDED DEADLINE*



Proceedings will be submitted for indexation by Scopus.

A *Best Paper Award* will be attributed. The rules and the prize will be
announced in due course.

A Comissão Organizadora gostaria de chamar a atenção para a CAPSI'2016 e
convidá-lo(a) a apresentar trabalhos de investigação e propostas de sessões
temáticas para a conferência.



A CAPSI'2016 é a 16ª Conferência da Associação Portuguesa de Sistemas de
Informação (APSI) e será realizado no Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e
Administração do Instituto Politécnico do Porto, de 22 a 24 de Setembro de
2016.



O Porto é a segunda maior cidade de Portugal, beneficia de uma localização
geográfica privilegiada e os seus habitantes são conhecidos pela sua
hospitalidade. É um dos destinos turísticos mais antigos da Europa. A
cidade do Porto foi classificada como Património Mundial pela UNESCO em
1996. Além disso, também foi considerado como Melhor Destino Europeu (
http://www.europeanbestdestinations.com/destinations/porto/). O Porto é
servido por um moderno sistema moderno de transportes e serviços públicos.
Não deve perder esta oportunidade de visitar uma cidade tão bonita!



O tema principal da conferência é "Sistemas de Informação Inovação e
Competitividade".

As atas da conferência serão submetidas à indexação pela Scopus.

Na edição deste ano da CAPSI será atribuído um prémio ao melhor trabalho
apresentado na conferência. O regulamento e o prémio serão divulgados
oportunamente.
