[AISWorld] Suprateek Sarker to continue as the EIC of JAIS

Dear colleagues,

The first 3 years term of Suprateek Sarker as the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of the AIS (JAIS) will end on June 30, 2016.
The nomination committee consisting of the representatives from each of the three AIS regions (Sirkka Jarvenpaa (R1), Joe Nandhakumar (R2), Bernard Tan (R3)), the EiC of the “sister journal” CAIS (Jan Recker) and Virpi  Kristiina Tuunainen (VP Publications; chair)) unanimously agreed that re-appointing Suprateek for another 3 year term would be highly beneficial both for JAIS and AIS. The AIS Council agreed as well, and appointed Professor Suprateek Sarker (University of Virginia) as the EiC for JAIS for the 3 year term 1.7.2016-30.6.2019.
I would like to use this opportunity to thank Suprateek for his continued service. He has done a superb job as the JAIS EiC on many levels, and he has been able to raise the quality and improve the image of the journal even further - as demonstrated by JAIS's continued climb in different journal rankings.
