The National University of Ireland Galway invites applications for a permanent Lectureship Above the Bar in Business Information Systems, who will align with the areas of expertise of the Lero research group at NUI Galway. Areas of expertise in this group include, but are not limited to, information systems innovation, systems development methods, project management, impact of IS, social media, and other aspects of contemporary IS research. The Lero Software Research Centre is internationally recognised for its work, with extensive interdisciplinary collaborations in Ireland and abroad.  The research group at NUI Galway is comprised of eleven staff including academic, postdoctoral and Ph.D researchers from diverse industry backgrounds and is part of a global network of industry domain experts and thought leaders. The group have received over €6m in research funding and have secured another €3.5m for research over the next 4 years. Their research is supported by Enterprise Ireland, Science Foundation Ireland, the Irish Research Council, the European Commission and by a variety of indigenous and multinational industry partners.

Candidates for the lectureship position should normally: hold a PhD in information systems or equivalent; have published in quality peer reviewed journals; have previous experience of applying for research funding; have proven ability in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels; and some experience of supervising dissertations is desirable.

Salary: €62,059 p.a. to €76,916 p.a.
