Dear members of the IS community:

A few weeks ago, the MSIS 2016 task force released its newest report for
public review and comments. This report presents a core component of the
proposed MSIS 2016 curriculum: a hierarchy of competencies, competency
categories, and competency areas. In addition, it describes the overall
curriculum architecture and the steps the task force is planning to take to
complete the curriculum work before the end of the year. The report is
available at http://msis2016.org together with other project materials.

To give you an opportunity to provide feedback regarding the core content
of the report in a structured way, the MSIS 2016 task force has developed a
survey that specifically focuses on the proposed graduate competencies. The
survey is available at
 https://bentley.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_8ek3A4SyIlWJSJv , and we invite
feedback from all members of the global IS community. The survey gives you
an option to choose between a short version (3-4 minutes) and a long
version (20-25 minutes). Many thanks to those who have already taken the
survey! If you have not, please consider doing so now. If you respond by
May 31, 2016, we will still be able to consider your feedback when working
on our next revision.

We need your comments to move forward with our work -- if you don't have
time to do the longer version, please do the short one. You can also write
directly to the task force co-chairs by e-mail (htopi at bentley.edu or
ekarsten at abo.fi).

Thank you very much in advance!

On behalf of the task force,

Heikki Topi and Eija Karsten, MSIS 2016 task force co-chairs
