Governors State University's College of Health and Human Services seeks to fill a tenure-track, faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Health Administration. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach in the AUPHA-certified undergraduate program and the CAHME-accredited graduate program of health administration and direct the health informatics program. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Management Information Systems and Computer Science program coordinators.
The responsibilities of this position include teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses; advising students; conducting scholarly and/or creative activities; publishing in health care management, policy or health services research, health informatics; serving on departmental, college, and the University committees; and providing services to the community.
We seek candidates with outstanding teaching skills, interest in advising non-traditional or diverse student populations, evidence of a potential or distinguished record of scholarship consistent with tenure-track expectations, and professional service via projects, committees or other faculty roles.
Governors State University is the only regional, public, comprehensive university in Chicago's south suburban area, serving approximately 7,750 students annually.
