===============
* Early Bird registration: July 31, 2016
* Fast Abstract Submission deadline: July 28, 2016

Description
-----------
EDCC 2016 offers a very unique event that will continue and leverage the history of past years of dependable computing, definitely mixing academic research and industrial experience being a forum to discuss today's challenges, and providing an umbrella for regular workshops. In addition to original papers on research, EDCC welcomes papers dedicated to dependability in practice: industrial applications, experience in introducing dependability in industry, use of new or mature dependability approaches to new challenging problems or domains, etc.

Topics and Accepted Papers
--------------------------
The main track at EDCC 2016 includes an exciting technical program based on original, unpublished research papers in three categories: (1) regular papers, (2) practical experience reports, and (3) short papers. While regular manuscripts explore theory, techniques, systems, and tools for the design, validation, operation and evaluation of dependable and secure computing systems, practical experience reports are dedicated to dependability in practice. On the other hand, short papers present preliminary research work or a prototype/tool description.
This year EDCC received 59 submissions that were reviewed by the fifty members of the PC with the help of 39 additional experts in a blind-review process. Discussions resulted in the acceptance of 27 papers, including 18 regular papers, 5 practical experience reports, and 4 short papers.

Keynote
--------
"Speed, Data and Ecosystems: The Future of Software Engineering", Jan Bosch, Chalmers University of Technology.

Workshops
---------
- The 8th International Workshop on Software Engineering for Resilient Systems (SERENE)
- 4th International Workshop on Critical Automotive Applications: Robustness & Safety (CARS).
