The Palumbo~Donahue School of Business Administration at Duquesne University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Information Systems Management, beginning fall 2017. Responsibilities include quality scholarship and an initial base teaching load of five (3-2 load) classes per year at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Now in its second century of operation, the School is driven by a new strategic plan that focuses on achieving distinctive excellence in faculty scholarship and in graduate and undergraduate education. With goals of further developing compelling programs and increasing the visibility and impact of the school and its faculty, we seek a research-active applicant who is aligned with the University's teacher-scholar model. Duquesne University's approach to business education is based on a philosophy that responsible, ethical leadership in business creates a better society for all. The Palumbo-Donahue School of Business has earned recognition from U.S. News & World Report, Bloomberg Businessweek, and the Princeton Review. Within the School, the information systems programs house roughly 200 information systems students.

Required Attributes:

Applicants should have earned (or anticipate by August 2017) a Ph.D. in Information Systems or a closely related business field. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate a collegial and collaborative orientation and be willing to contribute to the growth and development of our programs. Emphasis will be placed on both the potential for an active, quality research stream and strong performance in the classroom.

Desired Attributes:

Practitioner experience in areas of primary or secondary interest is desirable. Also desirable is experience with graduate teaching, online instruction and/or executive education.
