*Tenure Track Assistant Professor Position*

*Information Systems & Analytics*

*Miami University, Oxford, Ohio*

*Position:* The Farmer School of Business at Miami University (Ohio) is
seeking qualified candidates for a tenure-track position at the Assistant
Professor rank in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics (ISA)
starting August 2017.

The ISA department supports academic programs that blend the disciplines of
Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics and Management Science to
help organizations manage, understand, and gain insights from data.  Our
department consists of 17 permanent faculty and enjoys a strong culture of
collaboration across the Farmer School of Business, Miami University, and
with industry.  Our rigorous academic programs emphasize real data,
experiential learning and a project-based curriculum. The ISA department
offers a major in Information Systems, a co-major in Analytics, a minor in
Information Systems, a minor in Business Analytics, and a graduate
certificate in Analytics for Professionals.  We seek outstanding applicants
who will provide teaching, research, and cross-disciplinary collaboration
to contribute to our department.

*Requirements for Position:* Candidates must have completed a doctorate in
Information Systems or a related area by December 31, 2017.



Strong candidates will be willing to work/participate in teaching/research
in the cross-disciplinary environment of Information Systems and Analytics;
have graduate degree from an accredited business school; previous success
in teaching in a business school environment and research, preferably
in cybersecurity and/or data communications; and related work experience in
information systems or a related area; demonstrated potential for an active
research agenda and potential for innovative and effective teaching.
