Illinois State University, School of Information Technology invites applications for a tenure track position of Assistant/Associate Professor in Computer Science or Information Systems, beginning August 16, 2017.

Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate/graduate courses in information assurance and cybersecurity as well as other related areas of computing, develop a focused area of scholarly research related to the technical, organizational, or human-centered dimensions of cybersecurity, supervise graduate student projects and theses, and provide service to the University, College, School, profession and community.

Qualifications: To be considered, applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related field. Applicants with expected completion of the doctoral degree before January, 2018 will be considered. Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law.

Salary, Rank, and Tenure: Salary is commensurate with professional experience and preparation. This is a tenure-track, nine-month position with a possibility of summer employment.

The School: The School of Information Technology is one of eight units in the College of Applied Science and Technology. The School offers undergraduate majors in Computer Science, Information Systems, and Network and Telecommunications Management and a Master of Science in Information Systems. The undergraduate CS and IS programs are accredited by ABET. The School has approximately 650 undergraduate and 80 graduate students and 19 full-time faculty.
