The Department of Computer Information Systems in the Jones College of Business at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor position in Computer Information Systems. The Department's website is located at http://www.mtsu.edu/cis/


Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach within an area of information systems at the undergraduate level and possibly at the graduate level. The areas of interest (preferred but not limited to) include project management, web development, programming, security and networking. The candidate must develop quality research leading to publication, and provide service to the University, College, School, profession and community.



Qualifications: To be considered, applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Information Systems,  or a closely related field. Applicants with expected completion of the doctoral degree before August, 2017 will be considered. Candidates must also demonstrate research and scholarly activity in information systems.



Salary, Rank, and Tenure: Salary is commensurate with professional experience and preparation. This is a tenure-track position with a possibility of summer employment. The Department: The Department of Computer Information Systems is one of six units in the Jones College of Business. The Department offers an undergraduate major in Computer Information Systems, and a Master of Science in Information Systems, with concentrations in IT Project Management, IS Security, and Business Intelligence and Analytics. All programs in the Jones College are AACSB accredited. The Department has approximately 400 undergraduate and 110 graduate students, and 16 full-time faculty.
