Description
The George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics at Chapman University invites applications for a faculty position in Management Science beginning August 2017. The position is open at either the tenured associate or tenure-track assistant professor level. Applicants with research interests in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Data mining, High frequency time series, Machine learning and deep learning, Social network analytics. The position offers a competitive salary and a summer research stipend as well as a discretionary research budget.
The successful candidate may also be appointed to Chapman University's Economic Science Institute as a Research Associate.  Led by Nobel Laureate Vernon Smith, the Economic Science Institute is part of the Argyros School of Business and Economics and houses nationally recognized scholars providing collaborative research opportunities applied to a wide variety of issues in economics and management.

Requirements
Candidates for a tenured associate position must have a doctoral degree, an outstanding record of scholarly achievement, and provide evidence of teaching excellence. Candidates for a tenure-track assistant position must have a doctoral degree and demonstrate the potential for publishing high-quality academic research and excellent teaching; and among such candidates, applicants with several years' experience beyond the doctoral degree are preferred.
