Health Care Analytics and Information Technology is changing the way we deliver health care. Methodologies and technologies to analyze data meaningfully to deliver health care has become one of the goals of today's health care payers and patients. The objective of this special issue is to present case studies that showcase the use of technology and analytics to overcome challenges faced by today’s patients, payers, providers, and hospitals of health care service. This special issue aims to bridge the gap that exists between classroom knowledge and real-world experiences in health care information technology and analytics.

Case studies can be either traditional, full-length cases or “critical incidents.” “Critical Incidents” are short cases (typically, 3 pages or less, double spaced) designed for use in one class period. Full details on this special issue can be found here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14008229/JCIT%20Special%20Issue%20on%20Health%20Care.pdf.

Due date is November 11, 2016.
