Dear colleagues,

Some afterthoughts regarding the latest discussion on IS influence.

Software Engineering answer to producing outdated systems and extremely
high rate of failed projects was shifting to more agile way of running
software development projects. Though agile cannot be considered as a
panacea for all problems in Software Engineering, it certainly helps to
produce more useful systems.

Similarly, moving to a more agile way of running research projects might
help to increase the usefulness of their results and thus increase the
influence of IS research.

Best regards

Ilia

P.S. This opus presents my personal view on agile research in IS:

Have fun :-)
