The Department of Information and Technology Management in The University of Tampa's Sykes College of Business is seeking candidates for a tenure-track position available for Fall 2017 at the rank of Assistant Professor.



The University of Tampa is a medium-sized comprehensive, private university that delivers challenging and high-quality educational experiences to a diverse  group of learners. The University offers more than 200 areas of study, including majors in our colleges of Arts and Letters, Business, Natural and Health Sciences and Social Sciences, Math and Education and 12 master's programs.



Responsibilities may include teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in introductory information systems, teaching and/or research experience in programming, mobile and cloud computing or Big data and Business Analytics is desired. Candidates should have a commitment to teaching excellence, student involvement, and community service. The candidate is also expected to develop a record of scholarly activity that includes peer reviews and publications; advise students; and provide service to the department, college, university and broader community. We emphasize relevant, applied and active scholarship. A typical teaching load is three (3) four credit hour courses in a 14-week semester.



The Sykes College of Business is AACSB accredited and the MIS program is accredited by ABET.



Qualifications:   1. A Ph.D. in the field of Management Information Systems or related field is required.

2. MIS teaching specialization required: Introductory MIS course.

3. MIS teaching specializations desired: Programming, mobile computing, cloud computing, Big data and Business Analytics.
