[AISWorld] PhD position at Lero: Software Development with Alternative Workforces

Lero - the Irish Software Research Centre (www.lero.ie), has a full-time PhD position
open in the area of software engineering and information systems. The proposed starting
date is January 2017.

The open position is within the context of the "SODAW" project (Software Development
with Alternative Workforces), with a particular emphasis on open source, inner source
and crowdsourcing. The work to be performed includes the design and execution of
research studies using both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Research
experience and industry experience is desirable but not required.

The successful candidate holds a Master's degree in Software Engineering, Information
Systems, or a closely related field. The candidate has strong analytical skills and
technical expertise that are needed to conduct the research. Furthermore, the candidate
is expected to be able to work independently and in close collaboration with a team of
several other researchers in this area, as well as work with companies. The candidate
is expected to submit a doctoral dissertation after 4 years. The PhD position is fully
funded by a four-year scholarship valued at 94,000 euro (incl. fees).

Centre, based in Limerick. Lero researchers actively engage with numerous international
