I am looking for recommendations for textbooks and other resources for a
Database Design undergraduate class.

The first part of the semester will cover a traditional relational database
design including entities, attributes, relationships, normalization and
related topics. The second part of the class will look at big data
databases such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MapReduce, etc.

I will share the results of this request with the list.

Thanks.

Jerry
