Saarland University is a Campus-University with an international perspective and a distinct research profile.

The Department of Business Science is seeking to appoint a
Faculty Position (Professur, W3) for Business Administration
with focus on
"Information Risk Management and Information Systems"
at 1-April-2017.

Applicants should have international recognition in the field of business information systems/business informatics with focus on information risk management (e.g. governance of information security and information quality, risk assessment on products, processes, and services such as cyber-physical systems, internet of things and software-as-a-service, privacy, IRM methods and modelling, formal risk modelling on products and service processes, esp. IT-based supply chain risk management, certification and compliance on application systems). Quantitative and design-oriented research is welcome.

The position is part of the department's focus "Wirtschaftsinformatik/Information Systems" and should complement the existing activities in research and education. It should also intensify the collaboration with the applied research in the departments of computer science (IT security and privacy) and of law and informatics.

The successful candidate will be expected to obtain external funding for research projects and to collaborate with external scientific and industrial partners.
Teaching duties include courses for students of business administration and information systems as well as, preferably in German, an undergraduate course (e.g. operations research). Participation in the development of our Bachelor and Master programs is also expected.

Aside from requirements by public sector employment law, necessary qualifications for hiring include a tertiary education, pedagogical suitability, the particular ability for scientific work, which is generally proven by the acquisition of a doctoral degree, as well as additional scientific achievements (such as a German habilitation in business administration or information systems or a junior professorship, and an excellent publication record).
