ACM International Conference on Systems for Energy-Efficient Built Environments (BuildSys 2016)
http://buildsys.acm.org/2016/

Join us in Stanford, CA, November 15-17 for the 3rd ACM International Conference on Systems for Energy-Efficient Built Environments (BuildSys). BuildSys is a premier venue for researchers and practitioners working to develop and optimize energy-efficient infrastructure systems that are driven by networked sensing, computing, and control functions.

There are 3 days left to take advantage of Early Registration, which will be available until 11:59 pm PDT, October 13, 2016.

To appear in the proceedings of any of the conferences or workshops, all papers, posters, and demos must have at least one co-author registered (student registration is fine) by October 13, 2016, 11:59pm PDT.

Program
This year's two day conference includes the presentation of 19 full-length papers and 5 short papers, all peer-reviewed, on a variety of topics including occupancy detection and monitoring, data-driven building energy management and control, thermal comfort quantification and non-intrusive data analytics (http://buildsys.acm.org/2016/program/).

The program also includes a poster and demo session in which researchers present their work in a more intimate and relaxed setting, over drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

New this year: A gala reception at the Computer History Museum will be held the evening of Tuesday, November 15th.

There will be two keynotes: Sanjit Biswas, CEO of Samsara will give a keynote on the morning of Wednesday, November 16th; and Chris Greer, Director of the Smart Grid and Cyber-Physical Systems Program Office at NIST, will give another keynote on Thursday, November 17th.

Childcare
BuildSys, in cooperation with ACM and Stanford is pleased to offer complimentary childcare at BuildSys 2016. Space is limited. Please contact Philip Levis <pal at cs.stanford.edu><mailto:pal at cs.stanford.edu> by October 16th if you would like to use this service.

Registration and Lodging
Register before October 13th and take advantage of an early registration discount. Cutoffs for early accommodations are on September 14th, October 13th, and October 24th. Please refer to http://buildsys.acm.org/2016/registration/ and http://buildsys.acm.org/2016/travel/ for details.

SenSys conference
The 14th ACM Conference on Embedded Networked Sensor Systems (SenSys 2016) is co-located with BuildSys 2016. It will be held right before BuildSys, starting on Monday, November 14th and ending on Wednesday, November 17th. For more information visit http://sensys.acm.org/2016/

ENSsys Workshop
The 4th International Workshop on Energy Harvesting and Energy-Neutral Sensing Systems (ENSsys) is also co-located with BuildSys and SenSys 2016 and will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 16th. For more information visit http://www.enssys.org/2016/
