Newcastle University, UK is now offering a PhD scholarship. The Scholarship
recipient is expected to undertake independent research leading to the
award of a PhD degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering, under
the supervision of Dr. Rajiv Ranjan. The Scholarship recipient is expected
to be undertaking research consistent with the research strength of the
School of Computing Science and the scalable computing research group,
including big data, distributed systems and the Internet of Things.



Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom



Salary: Tuition fee scholarship, plus living expense of GBP £15,000 per
annum (Tax Free)

Tenure: 3.5 year term (further extension is possible)



To be successful you will have:

• An honours or master degree (or expect to gain) from a recognized
University. First class honours or equivalent in Electrical Engineering and
Telecommunications or Computer Science & Engineering with high GPA will be
preferred.

• The student must not be in full time employment, and must not be subject
to an obligation to a third party to provide that party with rights to any
IP created in the course of their degree.
