[AISWorld] Register for Pre-ICIS and Pre-HICSS Sharing Economy Workshops

This is the AISWorld List Server aisworld at lists.aisnet.org
Sun Nov 6 16:50:00 EST 2016

Please join us for a SIM Sponsored workshop on the sharing economy at either ICIS or HICSS. The purpose of these workshops is to develop sharing economy research that impacts practice and develop papers for the 2017 MIS Quarterly Executive special issue on the sharing economy.
The sharing economy is a new organization-market hybrid that is changing how people and organizations access, buy, and use goods and services (Sundararajan 2016a). Familiar businesses include Airbnb, Uber and Funding Circle. The sharing economy will grow from generating revenue of $15 billion in 2013 to $335 billion in 2025 (PriceWatershouseCoopers 2013).
These workshops will include a mix of presentations and round table discussions dealing with sharing economy: platforms, business models, and local governments. Here are the preliminary programs http://www.baylor.edu/business/mis/index.php?id=936542
