Probationary Tenure Track Position of Assistant Professor
Goodman School of Business, Finance, Operations and Information Systems, Brock University, Ontario, Canada

The Department of Finance, Operations, and Information Systems at the Goodman School of Business, Brock University, Ontario, Canada invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of Management Information Systems (MIS). The appointment is expected to begin on July 1st, 2017. Goodman is among the fastest growing business schools in Canada with strong and well recognized global connections. It is an AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, International) accredited institution, thus placing in the top five per cent of business schools worldwide to hold this prestigious accreditation. The school has an MBA program in Business Analytics, which is expanding rapidly, as well as a newly instituted multidisciplinary Centre for Business Analytics. The IS discipline also participates in the thesis-focused M. Sc. Program at Goodman School. Recent graduates with an M. Sc. in IS have joined leading Universities for their Ph. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses in MIS. The successful candidate is expected to teach in both graduate and undergraduate courses.  Candidates should have a strong research agenda in a relevant discipline or disciplines, within the broad purview of Information Systems research. All research methods, areas and approaches are welcome. An existing publication record or research activity, and demonstrated teaching effectiveness will be highly valued.

Minimum Qualification:
Completed Ph.D. in MIS.  A Ph.D. in a closely related field may be considered.  Candidates who present evidence of successful Ph.D. completion by Fall 2017 will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  Quality graduate-level education as evidenced by program accreditation by AACSB or similar accreditation in other disciplines, research productivity and reputation of program faculty, and/or program rankings published in academic journals.
  Evidence of excellence or promise of achieving excellence in a significant program of research and scholarship, such as top-tier peer reviewed journal articles, refereed conference proceedings and presentations, or other academic publications.
  Evidence of excellence or promise of achieving excellence in teaching MIS concentration courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
