The Culverhouse College of Commerce at the University of Alabama is seeking
candidates to fill two tenure-track openings in Management Information
Systems (MIS) at the levels of Associate and Full Professor effective
August 16, 2017 in the Department of Information Systems, Statistics, and
Management Science. Responsibilities include conducting and publishing
academic research in high quality journals, teaching courses in the
undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs and engaging in service at a
level commensurate with the level of faculty appointment.

Requirements: (1) A doctoral degree in MIS or a closely related field; (2)
record of high quality research and publishing of information security
research in high-quality journals consistent with appointment at
associate/full professor; (3) demonstrated high-quality teaching in MIS.

Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with a
demonstrated record of cross-disciplinary, high-quality research in
information security. Applicants with a track record of externally funded
research are strongly preferred. Preference will be given to applicants
with experience and continued interest in teaching information security.
Finally, applicants with relevant professional experience are preferred.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with rank and experience.
