18th International CINet Conference

Digitalization and innovation: designing the organization of the future

10-12 September 2017 - Potsdam, Germany
The Continuous Innovation Network (CINet) is a global network set up to bring together researchers and industrialists working in the field of Continuous Innovation. The mission of CINet is to develop into a school of thought on Continuous Innovation. Consistent with this mission, CINet organizes an annual conference. This announcement concerns the 18th CINet conference, which will take place at the University of Potsdam, 10-12 September 2017. The theme of the conference is “Digitalization and innovation: designing the organization of the future”.

Furthermore, CINet promotes a PhD Network to foster research collaboration among PhD students and their institutions on innovation in the widest sense of the word. As part of that initiative, a PhD workshop <http://www.continuous-innovation.net/events/phdworkshops/2017.html> is organized just prior to the 18th CINet conference, on 8-12 September. Besides that, a CIYA Workshop <http://www.continuous-innovation.net/events/ciya/2017.html> will be organized, aimed at young academics working in the field of continuous innovation, and taking place on 10 September 2017.

The format
In 2015, CINet implemented a major change in its conference format. In addition to traditional sessions more free-form academic and practitioner sessions will be organized in which participants can present and discuss ideas for research and collaboration, practical experiences and work-in-progress. To facilitate this, three types of contributions are invited:
* “Full papers” of up to 5,000 words – to report research that has been completed.
* “Research notes” of up to 2,000 words – for example, to propose a research idea, seek research collaboration, present a literature review, describe a research design, or report work-in-progress.
* Practitioner presentations – primarily focused on sharing and discussing (continuous) innovation practice and experience.
Who should attend
Both academics involved in research on innovation and change as well as practitioners and consultants involved in management innovation and change are invited to submit papers relevant to the conference theme, or simply register for the conference to gain access to leading research and practices in this key area. Also academics interested in sharing industry experience are welcome.

Interested in presenting your paper?
Submit your extended abstract or full paper (optional for CINet members) for double blind peer review before 15 March 2017.

More and regularly updated information can be found on the conference website: http://www.continuous-innovation.net/events/conferences/2017.html.
