The Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong is launching a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) programme in 2017/2018. 

With the rapid advances in information technologies, the volume of data generated has tremendously increased in recent years. There are ample opportunities for business to gain managerial and strategic insights by gathering, cleaning, analyzing, and using these data. The MSBA programme aims to prepare students for a career in business analytics. A business analytics professional needs to have the necessary skills and knowledge in a range of areas, including business, databases, statistics, information systems, operations, as well as in advanced topics in business analytics such as business data mining, big data in business, and so on. The programme offers students with various business analytics courses, and it prepares an optimal mix of fundamental and cutting-edge knowledge in business analytics. Graduates of the programme will possess core analytics and quantitative skills needed in the modern business world. They will fill the growing demand of business analytics specialists in Hong Kong, the region, and the world.​
