Call for Submissions


 
The African Society isincreasingly becoming networked with information technology (IT); and this isproducing patterns and dynamics in technology, innovation, modernization anddevelopment. The African Networked Society (ANS) speaks of IT networks intermeshingwith the African society of individuals, organizations and nations. The ANS isgenerating tensions between local, national and transnational flows of people,information and policies. It represents a new platform that enables researchersand practitioners to take new perspectives to pertinent technological,organizational, and developmental issues in Africa.

ANS enables more efficient and effective creation and distribution ofdigital content, applications and services across Africa that will benefit the people of Africa greatly.Therefore, it can be exploited by individuals, organizations, and individualsto accelerate the flow and exchange of ideas, policies, and cultures to achievesocio-economic advancement of Africa. 

The 2017 edition of ACIST aimsto facilitate the achievement and exploitation of the ANS through continuous ITinnovation and deployment in Africa. The conference brings togetherresearchers, practitioners, and educators in Information Systems and Technologyto present research and development works and share ideas that enhanceinnovation and application of IT in Africa.

ACIST 2017 is calling for completed papers, research-in-progresspapers or posters, position papers, panel discussion topics, and exhibitionposters on topics that include, but are not limited to, the following:

Paper submissions will be subjected to double-blind reviews byat least two Programme Committee members. Accepted papers will be published inthe conference proceedings with ISSN 2467-8988; and will be consideredfor further review and publication in the African Journal of InformationSystems (www.ajisonline.com).
